OVERVIEW

The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for providing patient focused health care. The nurse will utilize the nursing process, communication skills, and problem solving techniques to deliver quality care. The nurse will also be responsible for the knowledge and technical skill needed to operate a variety of mechanical devices to accomplish this task. The nurse is accountable for the age groups as defined in the scope of care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current State Illinois Registered Nurse License
• CPR or ACLS card required
• Chemotherapy course completed and passed (Course completion within ninety (90) days of hire for Registered Nurses with one (1) or more years of experience. Registered Nurses with less than one (1) year of experience will be scheduled for the course after six (6) months of employment.)
• 3 years clinical oncology experience preferred
• 1+ years experience in care management/GI and/or similar role
• Certification or experience in nutrition support highly desired
• Strong organization and communication skills
