Job Summary/Purpose:

Responsible for clinical nutrition activities of all oncology patients. Coordinates with other nutrition staff to provide quality nutritional care. Also, responsible for coverage of medical/surgical patients. Participation in an on-call rotation will be required based on departmental need.

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Dietitian. Advanced degree or training in the field of nutrition preferred. May begin work as Registered Dietitian Eligible & work under supervision for up to 6 months.

Licensed Dietitian in the state of Illinois. May begin employment while applying for licensure & work for up to 6 months with supervision while license application process is pending per Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.

Strong written/verbal interpersonal skills

Professional independence and initiative within constructs of job

Ongoing Maintenance of Registered and Licensed Dietitian Continuing Education Units (CEUs), credentials, and continually update knowledge base pertinent to job performance
