Summary of Position:

The Communication Facilitator & Admin Support (Switchboard Operator) is responsible for operating a high volume call directory, courteously and efficiently assisting all incoming and outgoing callers. Callers include patients and their caregivers, stakeholders, physicians, members of administration and community members. Job includes paging of physicians and other staff, providing factual information to callers, taking messages, providing interim support for the Transportation department and assisting other departments by taking over and maintaining substantial job duties. Facilitator will also be responsible for completing A3 training within 1 year of hire.

Skills and Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a call center or as an operator for a large organization is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) are essential
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent typing/keyboard skills and general understanding of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel
  • Experienced with varied office equipment (i.e. copier, fax machine, etc.)
