Job Description:

The Compliance Program Administrator/Specialist will provide program and project management support to the Compliance Department. This position manages administration of enterprise wide compliance programs to ensure that CTCA’s leadership team, physicians, Stakeholders, and vendors are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. This role maintains compliance program tracking and reporting throughout all levels of the enterprise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day operations of the compliance program using varying methods and tools
  • Continually improve a centralized system for documentation of compliance program work and efficacy, including the annual work plan, incident investigations management, corrective actions, and other record retention.
  • Understand enterprise wide cross-system data and prepare reports on a regular basis to keep the CTCA Compliance Program Leadership, Management Committee, Executive leadership, and the Boards of Directors informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
  • Manage incident tracking process including documenting investigations, overseeing completion of corrective action plans, creating toolkits to use in analysis, and reporting on outcomes.
  • Assist in periodic reviews and revisions of enterprise and Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Identify compliance vulnerabilities and risks, and ensure that responses to reported concerns, alleged violations of and law, and/or conflicts of interest are timely, appropriate, and consistent. Oversee the annual updates of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate and lead projects to monitor and audit the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis and in a collaborative and facilitative manner, ensuring goals of common stakeholders are met.
  • Manages and triages intake of compliance questions and hotline calls.
  • Manages sanctions screening process to ensure monthly screening is completed enterprise wide.
  • Act as a steward by exhibiting sound ethical standards and consistently promoting a compliant culture.
  • Research and author educational materials.
  • Participate in Compliance Team Projects and initiatives when requested.
  • Develop expertise and perform research in compliance subjects and issues when requested
  • Oversee the enterprise-wide annual compliance training materials, maintain training completion records, and ensure all CTCA Stakeholders complete the compliance training. 
  • Oversee all periodic compliance trainings, ensure distribution and accessibility of training materials, and maintain attendance records of trainings. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Law, Healthcare, English, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of independent program or complex project management experience in a healthcare compliance or legal department or equivalent field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate, or legal training preferred.
  • Six Sigma or LEAN training preferred.

  • Ability to analyze new or ambiguous information, define the issue or problem, and project plan the resolution.
  • Ability to author senior-level reports for presentation to management and executives.
  • Ability to use analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking appropriate guidance and input from others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and written.
  • Ability to use multiple CTCA systems and understand their connections and impact.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint) required; Incident tracking warehouse and learning management system (LMS) proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance principles, including Office of Inspector General Seven Elements.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare systems, health plans, and/or physician groups.
  • Knowledge of incident management and tracking.
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Fraud Waste & Abuse, and Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA).
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
