Job Description:

This position is intended to ensure hospital growth and NOI goals are achieved through proactive monitoring of trends, initiation of conversion improvement measures, and nurturing OIS relationships through alignment with Enterprise Analytics stakeholders and programs. The Principal has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Regional CEO.
The Principal Analytics Consultant is a part of the hospital leadership team. This role pro-actively identifies opportunities for the business unit. The Principal performs a mix of strategy, analysis, development, project management, and business analysis in support of the regional business.
The manager will be responsible for setting the strategic analytics vision and framework for the hospital in alignment with the Enterprise Analytics function and will work closely with IS, Corporate Growth teams, Finance, OIS, and the clinical operations team.  
The Principal works closely with CTCA patients, Growth teams, clinical teams, and operations teams to develop and execute strategies and tactics that deliver budgeted new patient acquisition goals.  The Operations and Analytics Manager reports to the VP, Enterprise Analytics, and works closely with the entire regional executive team.

Job Responsibilities


  • Support the hospital’s operational goals through actionable analytics on a daily basis. Support the hospital’s Growth funnel by measuring and analyzing results.  Develop and own strong knowledge base regarding patient analytics.  
  • Deliverables:  Provide insight into challenges and offer solutions to overcome them.  Review and analyze cancellations, verifications, appointments kept and treatments by utilizing Growth Analytics.  Continually analyzes patient behavior to provide insight into current conversion initiatives and to develop new conversion initiatives. Measure performance on value-based payer contracts.


  • Coordinate with, activate and manage Enterprise Analytics functions to create regional and enterprise analytics packages (reports, dashboards, scorecards, studies) leveraging enterprise and local datasets, tools, methodologies and teams.


  • Develop monthly board report results and additional ad hoc reporting and analysis.  Support development of fiscal year hospital growth plan with reports/data/insights as needed.
  • Deliverables: Provide monthly growth performance and conversion initiative board report summaries.  Meet regularly with executive team to provide initiative summaries and communicate needs for completion. Obtain feedback from internal parties on program effectiveness.  Provide analysis of hospital performance, along with recommendations and assumptions to the hospital executive team to allow for annual fiscal and ongoing planning.


  • Work with Growth and Executive team to support business case development for new concepts and opportunities.
  • Deliverables: Detailed strategic and performance analyses.

Skills, Education and Additional Information

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant finance, reporting or analytics role
  • Ability to manage projects across multiple departments that do not directly report to you 
  • Experience in building relationships, with negotiating, implementing and on-going management with non-marketing department.
  • Ability to write and speak powerfully in an active voice
  • Extensive understanding of databases and business rule design
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to design and implant tracking systems
  • Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Confidence in development and delivery of presentations
