Hours: rotating schedule of 5:30am - 2pm, 8am - 4:30pm or 10am - 6:30pm
The Food Service Worker provides Culinary and Dietary support for the organization and those under its specialized care. Ensures a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment with an unparalleled level of customer service to ensure all Patients, Caregivers, Stakeholders, and guests have a positive experience at our facility. Responsible for all cash transactions, for all food items and the maintaining and set-up of serving and dining area.
Minimum Job Qualifications
License/ Certification/ Permit:
Currently dated Food Handler’s Permit from County/State Health Department in IL is required. ServeSafe Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage/Hospitality/High-volume hospital cafeteria setting, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer services skills
Ability to work well on a team
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite
Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
Ability to be flexible, adapting to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range$16.50 - $21.26
Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual’s status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.
