Job Description:

Hours: Mon - Fri 10:30am - 7:00pm, some weekends/holidays

Job Summary:

The Supervisor of Culinary Services, under direction from the Culinary Manager, supports the planning and management of all operations of the culinary services department including retail dining room, inpatient room dining, infusion dining and catering requests in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and accrediting agency regulations. The supervisor must have the understanding and knowledge of how to sustain profitability in the café while simultaneously providing the highest quality food to the patients, caregivers, and stakeholders. The supervisor will act as manager when manager is out of office

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred or a minimum of two-year supervisory experience in a high-volume cafeteria or hospital cafeteria setting.

  • Serv Safe Certification

  • Strong coaching, problem-solving and process improvement skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; strong interpersonal and team-building skills

  • Strong IT skills, especially related to the point of sale, patient dining, and medical records.

  • Direct knowledge of room service and implementation.

  • Experience in building customer service relationships to improve satisfaction.
